I believe my first website was created in 1994 or 1995. This blog has now been running for 23 years as of 1 January 2024. One the years it’s changed providers, content has been lost, etc. (to be honest I don’t mind my juvenilia falling through the cracks of the Internet). But I’m still going! Happy New Years!

Alex Golub is an associate professor of anthropology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He is a political anthropologist who studies kinship, customary land tenure, and the mining and petroleum industry in Papua New Guinea. He also studies the video game World of Warcraft, and is an advocate for open access scholarly communications. His book "Leviathans at the Gold Mine" was published by Duke University Press.
