And although most social scientists have worked through some of his stuff at some time or another not all of them are as interested in his work as I am. But even with that said, when Amazon.com sends you an email telling you they have a new book about Weber that they think you might enjoy my general impulse is to run far, far away. I can’t wait to read some of the stuff on the Chinese diaspora. And talk about small worlds — he’s even taught at the UPNG. Looks like I have some reading to do!
