That's a good question. In fact both of the operators are typically 'from the village' and don't have the blase attitude to huge moving machiens that we 1st worlders do. Also, the safety and training courses they've been through have been designed to scare the bejezus out of them and make sure they don't do anything stupid. So in fact (very roughly) they have something the same care-full attitude towards making the interaction work that musicians sight-reading a new piece have -- tentative, careful, and working together. At least as far as I can tell that's what's going on.

A. Of course this is top-drawer and delicious but, more than anything, I'm struck by the quesiton of the qualia of the relation between said ore-loader and hauler-driver. Is it cooperative, purely? Or, like Mr.s A and B is it adversarial with various more-or-less ephemeral and defeasible touchy-feeley groupness effects spinning off into social space like so many sparks from the essential fact of the interactive fire? (E.g. don't fcuk me, I'll burn you). As in my hauler could run over your ore-loader any day, defer beeyatch. Or, as in I see your Schutz is as big (bigger) than mine. In any event, wonderful stuff mate.

Rawk it out. A.

Alex, for encouragement, I want to have a discussion about gold mining and geology with you, but only after you are done with the dissertation. Specifically, I want to talk about the Nelson/Eldorado mining district in Southern Nevada.
